Credit Controller

£28,000 – £30,000 per annum

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Controller to join our client’s fast-paced and commercially focused finance team, on a full-time, permanent basis. This opportunity offers flexible hybrid working arrangements.

As Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing customer accounts, resolving queries and maintaining effective collection processes to support strong cash flow performance. This role would suit a proactive and organised individual with strong communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.

The responsibilities:

• Set up and maintain new customer accounts
• Carry out credit checks and assess account limits
• Monitor outstanding balances and aged debt
• Follow up overdue payments through various communication channels
• Investigate and resolve invoice and account queries
• Produce regular debtor and financial reports
• Process Direct Debit collections and payment activity
• Support banking processes and continuous improvements across the finance function

The candidate:

• Previous credit control experience within a busy commercial environment
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and finance systems
• Able to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues
• Proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach to work
