Our client, a leading South West based Accountancy Practice, is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join their highly regarded and established team. This opportunity offers flexible hybrid working options.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven accounting professional to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including legal sector businesses, while developing their technical expertise across accounts preparation, audit, tax, and advisory services.

The responsibilities:

• Prepare year-end accounts and financial statements for a varied client base
• Support audit planning, testing, and completion activities
• Produce management accounts and financial reports
• Assist with tax returns and VAT compliance work
• Complete bookkeeping tasks and account reconciliations
• Analyse financial data to support client decisions
• Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
• Manage workloads to meet deadlines and quality standards
• Identify issues and provide practical solutions
• Support and mentor junior team members where required

The candidate:

• AAT, ACA, ACCA qualified or part-qualified with practice experience
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice environment
• Confident managing a varied workload across accounts and audit assignments
• Strong technical accounting skills with good software knowledge
• Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach
• Legal sector experience and knowledge of Solicitors’ Accounts Rules advantageous but not essential.
