Our client, a well-established and growing organisation, is seeking a commercially focused Management Accountant to join its finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. The role is based on the outskirts of Exeter and offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement.

As the Management Accountant, you will take ownership of a broad range of accounting and commercial finance activities. You will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, while also providing meaningful analysis to influence decision-making across the organisation.

This is a varied and hands-on role, offering the opportunity to work closely with both finance and commercial teams, delivering high-quality reporting and insight to support business performance. This position would suit someone who enjoys working with data, partnering with stakeholders, and contributing to both day-to-day operations and longer-term financial planning.

The responsibilities:

• Provide financial insight and analysis to support commercial decision-making
• Produce regular sales reporting and detailed margin analysis
• Manage customer rebates, including set-up, tracking, and validation
• Oversee commodity-linked pricing and ensure timely and accurate updates
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and support banking and treasury activities
• Deliver month-end analysis across sales, margins, and overheads
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes across the business
• Assist with audit requirements, statutory reporting, and fixed asset management

The candidate:

• Part or fully qualified accountant with relevant commercial experience
• Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail
• Advanced Excel capability and confident using financial systems (SAP desirable)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders
• Well-organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities
