Interim People Partner
Torbay (Hybrid)
6 Month Fixed-Term Contract
£55,000 – £60,000 per annum
We’re partnering with a well-established Devon based organisation to recruit an experienced Interim People Partner on a 6-month fixed-term contract, offering a hybrid working arrangement.
This is a hands-on role supporting leaders and colleagues through a period of change, requiring a confident People Partner who can quickly build credibility and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
As Interim People Partner, you’ll work closely with the wider People team and leadership group, providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR support, managing a varied caseload while contributing to wider company initiatives.
The responsibilities:
- Acting as a trusted advisor to managers on a broad range of employee relations matters, including absence, conduct, performance, and grievance cases
- Ensuring all casework is managed thoroughly and documented accurately, maintaining clear and compliant records
- Supporting organisational change activity, working alongside leaders to embed new ways of working
- Reviewing and refining policies to ensure they remain relevant, practical, and compliant
- Designing and delivering development sessions to enhance management capability
- Playing a key role in driving engagement and wellbeing initiatives across the workforce
- Providing day-to-day guidance and informal mentoring to junior members of the People team
The candidate:
- Minimum of CIPD Level 5 qualified with proven experience in a People/HR Business Partner role
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be highly desirable
- Strong employee relations expertise, confident managing cases independently
- Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Experience supporting organisational change, with the ability to influence and coach stakeholders at all levels
- Proactive and adaptable, with a track record of delivering HR projects and driving engagement initiatives
An immediate or short-notice start is highly desirable to allow for a thorough handover.
