Our Exeter based client is currently seeking a Management Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Management Accountant to take ownership of the management accounts process within a collaborative and growing business. You’ll enjoy variety, visibility, and the chance to make a real impact across multiple departments.
The Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of month-end close, producing timely, accurate management accounts
- Oversee and reconcile ledgers, cash books, fixed assets and stock balances
- Manage accruals, prepayments, VAT submissions, and other compliance requirements
- Approve payment runs, monitor multi-currency accounts, and manage direct debit collections
- Prepare year-end audit schedules and initial statutory accounts
- Work closely with commercial, purchasing, IT, and finance teams on reporting, costing, and stock variance issues
- Contribute to process improvements.
The Candidate:
- Ideally be a fully or part-qualified (CIMA/ACCA/ACA), or AAT qualified Accountant. Candidates without qualifications but possess strong relevant experience will also be considered.
- Strong Excel skills and confident with Microsoft Office
- Highly organised, accurate, and able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Commercially astute, proactive, and eager to challenge and enhance existing processes
