Finance Officer
Newquay, Devon
£26,000 per annum
12 month FTC (fixed term contract)

Our client, a leading organisation within its field, are currently seeking a full-time Finance Officer on a 12-month fixed term contract.

As the Finance Officer, your role involves ensuring the smooth operation of the daily accounts functions, such as sales ledger, bank and cash management, and funding activities. You will also provide crucial administrative support to the wider finance team.

The responsibilities:

  • Manage all sales ledger function including processing sales invoices, direct debit payments and cash receipt data.
  • Manage bank and cash operations including, recording cash and voucher receipts, posting daily bank transactions, set up of authorised payments, and bank reconciliations.
  • Preparation and delivery of administration support to the wider team.
  • Supporting and assisting members of the accounts department with ad hoc accounting and reporting assignments as required.
  • Handling of phone inquiries and participating in office meetings.
  • Collaborate with senior management to meet reporting deadlines and address emerging issues promptly, while coordinating with other departments for accurate information.

The candidate:

  • Experience within a similar accounting/finance role or strong administrative background with some knowledge around transactional finance.
  • Competency using accounting software and systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to meeting deadlines and positively contributing to team dynamics.
