Audit Senior

Exeter (hybrid)

£30,000 – £50,000 DOE

Our client is a prestigious National accountancy firm looking to expand their Audit team. They take pride in fostering a fantastic work-life balance and cultivating a collaborative and relaxed atmosphere within their team.

They are currently seeking a driven individual to assist the team in achieving their strategic goals and delivering exceptional customer service to their clients.

The responsibilities:

Working closely with the audit manager and director, you will be responsible for undertaking audit and accounts assignments for the Charity and Not-For-Profit sector and Limited Companies (including groups).

  • Leading audit assignments.
  • Reviewing work completed by junior team members before manager review.
  • Preparing draft corporation tax and business tax computations with supporting analysis.
  • Compiling statutory accounts from client trial balance.
  • Assisting the management team in ad-hoc projects.
  • Maintaining timely and effective communication with clients.
  • Providing support in staff training.

The candidate:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified. Qualified by Experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in leading audit assignments, including fieldwork and some completion.
  • Proficient knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards and International Standards for Auditing.
  • Preferred experience with IRIS and MyWorkPapers, although not essential.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills across all means available.
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills to handle various tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Analytical mindset with acute attention to detail, with a commercial awareness to understand clients’ needs.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with clients and team members.
