Our client, an innovative and dynamic accounting firm based in the South West, is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Audit Manager, to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Audit Manager role primarily focuses on compliance and delivering exceptional client services, while also promoting the provision of ad hoc services throughout the year. With a vast client network, this role offers you the opportunity to conduct audit assignments, create annual financial statements, mentor junior members of staff while managing a diverse portfolio of small and medium-sized limited companies and charitable organisations. The ideal candidate will showcase adaptability and strong organizational skills, be capable of building robust client relationships, and contribute to the seamless delivery of client services alongside senior staff and partners. Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with the ability to explain technical matters clearly and concisely, are pivotal in this role.
The responsibilities:
- Prepare and audit statutory financial statements for limited companies and charities.
- Generate letters and reports explaining relevant matters related to financial statements for both internal and external users.
- Prepare corporation tax returns for limited companies.
- Provide efficient and proactive client service, ensuring their needs are met.
- Offer holistic advisory services considering business plans and objectives.
- Maintain an organized recording, filing, and monitoring system to track job completion, work in progress, and billing requirements efficiently.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, including reviewing their work.
- Complete progress reports as needed.
- Promote the firm through attendance at networking events and developing connections with local professionals to attract new clients.
The candidate:
- ACA/ACCA Qualified.
- Prior experience in conducting audit assignments within a similar role.
- Strong communication and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in creating cash flow forecasts and business plans.
- Capable of working effectively independently and collaboratively within a team.
