Accounts Manager

Our client, a reputable and successful Accountancy Practice, is seeking an exceptional Accounts Manager to join their dedicated team in Plymouth.
This position requires building and nurturing client relationships, alongside managing the team responsible for delivering outstanding work. The Responsibilities:
- Overseeing and ensuring compliance with tax and accounting requirements for a client portfolio.
- Supervising team members and managing workflow efficiently. You will play a key role in the development of more junior members of staff.
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
- Creating tax computations and preparing corporate and personal tax returns.
- Reviewing VAT return preparation.
- Managing document filings with HMRC and Companies House on behalf of clients.
- Providing business setup services, including incorporations and HMRC registrations.
- Offering value-added business advice to help clients minimize tax liabilities and maximize profits.
The Candidate:
- ACA/ACCA qualified, or AAT qualified with several years of experience.
- Previous experience preparing accounts for limited companies and unincorporated businesses at an Accounts Manager level within an accountancy practice.
- Familiarity with tax computations and returns for limited companies, unincorporated businesses, and individuals.
- Proficiency in general IT applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and social media platforms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and proven accuracy.
- A supportive and team-centric attitude towards work and the development of the wider team.
